Mrs. Frisby is a mouse
widow and has 4 kids. One
day her youngest son falls ill and
she goes to see the mouse healer. He gives her some medicine for her son.
On the way home she met a crow that was
trapped in some wire. She freed him and they became friends.
There
is this day called moving day and on that day the mice in the garden have to move to somewhere else because, the farmer goes through the garden and crunches
everything up with the tractor. Mrs. Frisby’s son that got sick is not allowed to move out of the
house or else he will get sick again. So Mrs. Frisby asks the crow for
advice and he says to go to the
owl. The owl tells her to go to the rats who are very peculiar creatures. She
then finds why the rats are peculiar.
My
thoughts: I
really like this book because it has a lot twists. Like at about half way
through the book they introduced the rats. There are also a lot of different problems.
Where one mouse gets sick and then there’s moving day. It made me feel like
there were civilizations that are as advanced as us out there.
I can relate to Mrs. Frisby not that I have
the same problems but, I have had something I have wanted to do and then I have
to do something else and then something else. So I never get to do what I wanted
to. This compares to other books like in Eragon there was the problem of whose
side am I on. And half way through they introduce that real problem.
This sounds like a fun book to read. How many pages is it? Did you get it at the library.
