A Wrinkle in Time

Summary: Meg Murry, Charles Wallace Murry, and Calvin O’Keefe meet in the woods near a haunted house and become friends. Calvin is a sports player and is not cared about by his family. Meg has the most challenging part in the book, nobody likes her at school. She has a lot of faults like being stubborn and impatient. Charles can tell what you are thinking without you even saying anything. He is also really smart and knows a lot of definitions of words.
Then in the haunted house they meet Mrs. Who, Mrs. Witch and Mrs. Whatsit who whisked them away on a dangerous mission to find Meg’s father and stop an evil force that is trying to take over a planet.
My thoughts: I really like the book. I think that this is an exciting book where there are different creatures. They have this thing called tesseract where you can move through dimensions and places. It is a book I would recommend for kids 9+ because it can be sort of confusing and it made me feel edgy. It also has some scary parts (though no one dies).
I can relate to Meg, she feels like no one understands her and I feel the same way about myself. I really like that the book has weird and unusual things that do not happen in the real world. It was unusual when Mrs. Whatsit turns into a flying centaur. This book has a lot of talking but not much action unlike The Ranger’s Apprentice.

A good Quote is “There is such thing a tesseract my pet."
